Discussing Health Information Exchanges, Health Knowledge Management, E-Health Systems, m-Health Systems and Health Knowledge Exchange

This conference will host leading IT professionals, policymakers, and leaders from the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act era and beyond as they discuss the latest technology-driven developments in health information management and informatics.

Research from the Radiology Society of North America (RSNA) supports continuing advancements in virtually all vertical healthcare markets in all functional areas in 2017 and beyond, including radiology, behavioral medicine, cardiology, orthopedics, oncology, endocrinology, and others. RSNA 2017 data documents e-prescribing initiatives at a near-record level, as well as continued rising rates of colonoscopy and MRI usage. Significant developments were also documented in the non-radiology end of the spectrum, including increased adoption of parenteral nutrition therapy, telemedicine, and ambulatory operations centers (ACS).

Research data also shows electronic health record (EHR) adoption at an all-time high, while the recent advent of use-based pricing is a growing concern for consumers and many healthcare providers. Enrollment in private health insurance has surpassed 200 million, yet challenges remain for various reasons, including interoperability and protection of privacy and security concerns.

In this conference, we’ll look at the latest innovations in e-health technology and informatics, sharing perspectives on key issues. We’ll also discuss federal and state laws and regulations affecting the electronic medical record (EMR) space, and explore federal policies driving the future of e-health information exchanges, health knowledge management, and m-health systems.

Our speakers come from a wide array of healthcare areas, with expertise in medicine, healthcare management, healthcare informatics, decision support, health technology, policy, technology, and policy. We’ll also feature industry professionals from the communities our conferences serve, including EPIC, Decision Design, Franciscan Alliance, Practice Fusion, Peak Medical, and Digital Health Strategy.
